Hey cretins,

sorry for the long vacation I took which resulted in this site being unattended for over 2 years. Heaps of shit have happened in the meantime. My daughter grew older, my girlfriend gave birth to our son, we started the construction of our new house/home and a lot of changes on the professional front.

In the meanwhile I've been working on a new lay-out for this site but it's not finished yet. Being not a very technical person, and having no experience in buidling websites whatsoever, it's a real challenge to get something up and running that looks decent and is easily maintainable at the same time. So, if there's a Ramones-fan out there with the technical skills to make this thing happening again for a pro-bono fee, please step forward and you'll become king amongst us humble midgets. I've the whole plan worked out, I just need somebody to program it.

On another note, a couple of days ago, we went to see CJ Ramone playing with his current band at 'Feest in het park' in Oudenaarde (BE). It was a kick-ass party (as expected) and as a nice bonus we got to meet up with Daniel Rey and CJ himself. (Thanks Nancy and Les, you guys are our heroes) He told us to keep an eye on the tour calendars as he expects to be touring more often in the near future.

CJ and yours truly

Danny, Daniel Rey and me

Now it's time for bed for this old rock 'n' roller. Holidays or not, kids wake up early in the morning anyway.

See you around,

Sniper

Sad news. The Groovie Ghoulies call it quits after 15 years :-(

"It looks like Sacramento's Groovie Ghoulies have called it quits. The band posted the following message via a MySpace bulletin:

"It is with deep regret and sorrow that we must inform you that we have parted ways as a band for personal reasons.

"We thank you for your tireless love and support over the years and encourage you to continue to support the bands we have played with in Sacramento and beyond.

"Unfortunately, we will not be able to respond to any messages sent to our MySpace account. We ask that you respect our privacy during this difficult time. Again, we are deeply grateful for all the love you have shown us."

This development comes just before the release of the band's new full length 99 Lives. The Green Door Recording Co. will be handling the release, which is expected on May 15th. The release follows up 2005's Chuck Berry tribute Berry'd Alive. The Ghoulies roots / country alter ego the Haints recently put out a record as well."

Bye,

Sniper

Cretins,

Summer holidays are coming... well, within a month or so. As it seems, it will become a summer full of rock 'n' roll and fun. Marky Ramone will tour some European countries together with Joe Queer, Dangerous Dave and Sebastian from the Expulsados. Our good friend David Riu is taking up the planning. Go to his page for more Ramone and Queers tour info. The Teenageheadmusic family is also setting up tours of a variety of bands: Groovie Ghoulies (incl. Kepi solo gigs), Texas Terri Bomb, Muck and the Mires, Nine Pound Hammer, The Chelsea Smiles, The Black Halos, The Apers, Mother Superior and the Hangmen. Actually we're more than looking to see our pals of the Ghoulies again. It has been a very long time now! Keep an eye on the Teenagehead site for the most up-to-date info.

Uncle Lou Reed is kicking off a new tour as well.

"These rare European concerts will see Reed performing with a 30-piece ensemble including his band, a string and horn section, and a children's choir. The European concerts start in Brussels on June 18th, and include Holland, France,Germany, Britain and Italy. The concerts are being hailed as a rare insight into one of music's greatest minds, a labour of love and an integral part of rock history. "I only do this every 30 years," says Reed. "One time, one time only. You can tell your kids you saw Lou Reed's Berlin." - LouReed.com

Sjock rock will be a cool party as well with headliners Nine Pound Hammer and The Bones.

Keep it hot and sweatin',

Cretins,

Nothing special to mention. The year is coming to an end and I hope everybody got the luck they wished for when 2006 started. Maybe a good time to let you in on my top 10 of good intentions for 2007.

10. Stop harassing old ladies that are crossing the street.

9. Being less sarcastic.

8. Setting up a site which is actually up-to-date and has some interesting content.

7. Start my own Pro-ana blog... you fat fucking wankers!

6. Just as Fat Mike, I'm obsessed with big lesbians. Would be great to actually get to know some.

5. Change the toilet rolls when they're finished. Saves a lot of cursing afterwards... and less washing hands.

4. Listen more Roy Orbison.

3. Start harassing cute blondes that are crossing the street. Brunettes and redheads are ok as well. What the heck, as long as it's female, alive and not an r&b biatch.

2. Realising my dreams with my family and friends as well in personal as professional life. (Being a porn director it's sometimes an advantage to do this)

1. Living the good life provided by punk (and fucking hard work during the week)

Signing off,

Sniper

Hey,

went to see Alex Agnew last Friday in the Velinx (Tongeren - BE). Right in your face comedy that doesn't leave you disturbed but rather in a mood of... HELL YEAH, THIS FUCKER IS RIGHT! The show is part of a cultural initiative from the region I live in. They program a stand-up comedian together with young musical talent from our region. Support your local scene, I'd say! This time it were our long time friends, the Saturdaynight Beavers that took the stage after Alex had finished. For those who don't know them, check out their site. Although they changed from Screeching Weasel type punk snot rockers to the tight rock 'n' roll machine they're now... they still keep it real.

People that come regularly to read my not so regularly updated site probably already found out that I really believe in this band. I do not promote and support this band coz they're from my neighbourhood, coz they're friends, coz they're cool people to hang out with... nope, I promote them because I genuinely like their music of course but also for the 17 seconds of music that made me realise that they have what it takes to make it in rock 'n' roll wonderland.

17 seconds? Yep, that's right. More precisely the 17 seconds between second 48 and 1 minute 5 seconds of their early demo song, Miss C. Still in their punk rock period, but indicating that there was more to come soon. Those seconds take the song to another level comparable to the change of level after 30 seconds in The Letter from the Box Tops.

As a real music lover, I do love complete songs but sometimes a couple of seconds can be a enough to recognise musical genius. Just like the 9 second solo in the Pixies' Allison. A second is nothing but it's often small changes that lead to bigger things. With subtle changes to the blues chord scheme and by adding a piano-like opening guitar riff to his songs, Chuck Berry 'invented' rock 'n' roll as we know it. Isn't that something for a minor change!?

And then again, to all people that wonder why I still love the Ramones that much. Well, because their songs are brilliant and short! Why should I listen to six minute songs if I can listen to this brilliance 3 times in the same time span? Other reason could be that in case you don't like a song, you only have to wait 2 minutes before a new one starts... not even worth it to look for the remote in your sofa and try to find the skip button ;-)

That's all folks,

Sniper

23/08/2006

Hey cretins,

thought I've seen it all but while trying to get my daughter to sleep, I stumbled upon a documentary on the Pro-Ana movement. For the ones that don't know what it is - included me as well before I saw the documentary - it's a movement, primarily Internet based, that promotes anorexic behaviour as a lifestyle rather than an eating disorder or disease. Wake up, this has nothing to do with a lifestyle! It's just a bunch of fucked-up people trying to talk you into starving yourself to reach the ultimate goal of being 'thin'.

Oh yes, they also have some cool wordplays such "You're my thinspiration"... uh huh, food for brainless cows, I'd say! Oops, I've used the word food... I already feel the calories entering my system... I'm getting fatter... Oh no, I feel bad... Quick, get me a razor blade coz I have to cut myself... Emo crap all over, that's what it is!

Apart from the stupidness of this movement, things get even worse when they try to involve models and actresses and put them on a pedestal... the examples they have to live up to! Why can't people just take comfort with the person they are instead of trying to attain a so-called 'role model' promoted by society? I'm not saying that being on a diet to lose those extra kilos is bad but people have to accept that some people are meant to be slim and others a little bit less slim...

Actually I shouldn't be bothered at all but this documentary struck me in a way that I had to say something. Perfectly ok girls going on and on about their eternal struggle to lose kilos week after week. Insanity is a full-time job!

What about this as a lifestyle... a nice job that you like in the 9 to 5 world and having fun when you're not working and punking out on some good old rock 'n' roll. A lot of more fun than starving yourself and skipping your life completely.

On a side note: interesting page for all you party animals out there!

Gonna leave you with the wise words of the great philosopher Ernie: "Dee dee dee having fun but now I'm dee dee dee done!"

Ramoniac greetings,

Fat-ass Sniper

Almost two months since I wrote something. Time flies when you're having fun. I guess by now everybody discovered Marky's new project, Osaka Popstar. Fuck off Pikachu, there are 'new' heroes in town: JOHN CAFIERO, MARKY RAMONE (RAMONES), JERRY ONLY (THE MISFITS), DEZ CADENA (BLACK FLAG), and IVAN JULIAN (RICHARD HELL & THE VOIDOIDS). In case you didn't know... get your ass over to Marky's Myspace where you can read the latest news on your fav drummer.

Other interesting news is coming from Hellies land; They're performing on August 8 2006 in The Frontline (Gent) together with Total Chaos (US) (legendary punk - think The Exploited, Ex-Epitaph band), Molotov Cocktail (US) (NYC oldschool punk - Fear meets Reagan Youth) and M*E*S (skanked up heartpunkrock).

Unlike any other regular summer, I'm not going to visit a single festival this year. Either the line-up sucks or I have something better to do. Pity for the Pukkelpop line-up but I really don't wanna pay a zillion euros just to see Turbonegro perform... ok, even if I can catch Sick Of It All on the same day. But hey, these guys play Groezrock every year, so I'll make up for that next year. Not that PP is all bad. Still some good stuff around: Urban Dance Squad, Backyard Babies, The Dresden Dolls, Millencolin and Randy (for old time's sake), Mark Lanegan, Fear Factory and Pennywise... but unfortunately not enough to fill up 3 days.

I want the old PP back. 1 day with an excellent line-up. Aaaah sweet memories of Pukkelpop '91. What a party! Ramones, The Pogues, Black Francis (Pixies revival huh!?), Sonic Youth, House of Love, Dinosaur Jr, An Emotional Fish, Ride, Nirvana. Yours truly was 16 and finally had the first chance to see the gods doing their thing live. Not gonna bore you with the complete story again but this is what a festival is all about. 1 day and a lot of super bands. Dancing around with the Pogues who took a short break every two songs, slam dancing on the Ramones beats - without any breaks of course - causing a cloud of dust that could be seen from miles away. No need to say I enjoyed Frank Black, Dinosaur Jr and Sonic Youth as well. Only thing I didn't get was Nirvana. Watched them for 5-10 minutes, decided they sucked and went for a drink. Please speak up if you think Nirvana is as much overrated as The Doors were/are. Let's hear it for Soundgarden... hmm, grunge is not my thing.

So, anything else to say on music? Let's think... oh yeah, go see Ice Motherfucking T bitch and Iggy on Marktrock (Leuven). Due to practical reasons I won't be able to go myself but I bet it will be two ass rocking gigs. Maybe another interesting thing, De Lokerse Feesten, with Therapy?, Flogging Molly, Madness, The Cramps, ...

Okay hippy scum, that's that,

Sniper

Sitting here with nothing to do... Last month was pretty hectic. Lotsa work at the office, not that much time to rock 'n' roll... apart from my private time in the traffic jam. Attended Stefan's (De Hel) b-day party with The Whocares, Saturdaynight Beavers, Bad Preachers and the Rawönes. First time I saw the Bad Preachers and they made a hell of an impression. Luckily enough, it was only a matter weeks before I would see them again at the free punk festival in the rock pub Oemtata (Ertvelde - BE). Now that was a party! Bad Preachers rocked again but also the old bastards from the Dirty Scums kicked major ass.

A few weeks ago, I was on the subway in Paris, when I got struck by a girl having a huge 80s hairdo... and guess what, she was the spitting image of Christy Canyon. Who? Well, I know I'm ancient... let's call her the Jenna Jameson of the 80s. Am I into porn? Nah, not really, but one needs to get some cool desktop wallpaper once in a while. Anyways, where is this story going? Nowhere in particular... just some random thoughts. But this fine looking young woman brings us to the 'new' issue of Long Gone Loser Magazine. Damo and his crew managed to spew up another edition filled with cute girls, band info, gossip and all that stuff that you've always wanted to know but never dared to asked about female movie star extra-ordinaire, Jennifer Connelly.

Keep on truckin',

Hey boppers,

great news from festivalworld... on May 27 2006 there's a FREE punk festival in the rock pub Oemtata in Ertvelde (BE). More info here. The line-up has been filled with belgium's finest old and new punk bands: Funeral Dress, Bad Preachers, The Dirty Scums, W.R.3, Mise en scène, The Hellies and Klatters. And again, it's FREE, so be there! Support the local scene!

It was a real rock 'n' roll weekend. Started off with Los Putas, Black Halos and ... Nine Pound Hammer on Friday in the Lintfabriek. A rawking evening, dudes and dudettes... a rawking evening! Saturday it was Groezrock. Although the line-up looked pretty ok, it was not the best edition at all. Thumbs up for Dropkick Murphys and of course Bad Religion. No thumbs at all for Me First and the Gimme Gimmes. Looked like they were just rehearsing some songs. Very disappointed! On Sunday I could have gone to the Queens day festivities at Perron 55 in Venlo but I was too tired. According to Robbiorix, Johnny B. and Stefan there were about 800-1000 people and it was a lot of fun (as always). Monday afternoon went to a matinee show in De Hel in Tongeren to see The Zatopeks and Retarded. Zatopeks: funny gig with band running all around the venue while performing... hilarious! Retarded: slow start and then... one of the most tight shows I've ever see them do. Definitely won 2 or 3 places in my all time favorite live bands list...

Keep your eyes on the Saturdaynight Beavers site coz you can expect some live Beaver action near your place anytime soon!

That was all folks,

Just bought the new shiny disc of The Riverboat Gamblers listening to the name "To the confusion of our enemies". Although a little bit smoother around the edges than 'Something to crow about' it's a hell of an album. Listened to it 5 times on my way to work and still can't get enough of it. Favorite songs of the moment are "The Gamblers Try Their Hand At International Diplomacy" and "The Art Of Getting Fucked". I tell you: this is a band for which they invented a repeat button on hifi systems! Definitely going to order their first self-titled album and "Backsides" tomorrow. Dunno about you but I hoped I convinced you to get some of their stuff while it's still hot...

On another note... it's almost Groezrock time. The weather isn't super yet but I keep my hopes up for next Saturday. Now I think of it, we only had 1 year without rain in the last 5 years or so. Dusted off my old Bad Religion stuff to get prepared but what d'ya know... didn't need to. I can still remember most lyrics of Against the grain, Suffer, No Control, Generator, ... Don't know much about the new stuff but then again the old stuff is better, hihi ;-) I know cause I'm old!

Easter Monday. Already have had 4 days of vacation but I'm still tired as hell. Updated the rock calendar. Some interesting stuff is coming our way! Also did some administration on my magnum opus, my Ramones collection. Things are going slowly... saving money for the baby, a new house... definitely need to buy some records to stay up-to-date.

Got some Gearhead swag in the mail as well. The Million Dollar Marxists record rules big time! Some Dragons stuff was included as well. Oh yeah, the singer's voice sometimes reminds me of DeeDee. Other thing that I rediscovered is the album 'Something to crow about' of The Riverboat Gamblers. One cool record filled with pure rock 'n' roll... they tell you what's what for sure!!!

Long Gone Loser magazine has a new issue filled with everything you always wanted to know of your favorite bands, porn stars and wrestlers. Get your copy now! It's only $7, worldwide shipping included... cheaaaaaaaaaaaaap! Tell Damo Sniper has sent you! Did I alread mention this is Australia's only rock 'n' roll magazine and that it's the spunkiest stuff around?

29/03/2006

A month has passed again since I wrote something new on my site. Have been busy wih all kinds of shit. Built myself a new pc with a funky fan controller device of which the screen can change colour every 2 seconds. Hooray for me! Apart from that you can obviously control fan speed of course. Meaning my asskicking tuned calculator is mega silent although pumping air with 4 windmills. Ok, call me a nerd but at least I'm part of a large society of antisocial digital boys with glasses of which about 65% molests penguins after midnight. Speaking of antisocial... an-ti-so-cial... an-ti-so-cial... mmmm, Anthrax... saw them on Graspop a couple of years ago.

This year's line-up is not bad but not 'woohaa, I just pissed my pants from happiness' either. Whitesnake, Guns 'n' Roses (leftover), New York Dolls (ok, history that make me wet my pants), Datsuns, Motörhead (after wetting my pants I'll use Lemmy's speed as talcum powder), Agnostic Front... Not bad you'd say but it's spread out over three days... If they agree to have these bands play on 1 day, I'm their man. In the old days this was how festival line-ups looked like. 7 or 8 bands, 1 day and all good. Not a trillion bands of which 2/3 sucks, 3 days and a billion euros entry fee...

Last month I saw a couple of bands play. One of them was Good Riddance in the Muziekodroom (Hasselt, BE). Another one was 'Demons' in De Hel (Tongeren, BE). They're on Gearhead... indeed garage rock 'n' roll. Not that many people there but still a hell of a show. Had a conversation with Johnny Beaver on the lack of interest of youngsters to come see live bands if it's not hyped enough. Not going to bore you with the details but HEY LAZY WANKERS, COME OUT OF YOUR FUCKING CHAIRS AND GET YOUR FUCKING BUTTS OUT THERE... it's not because it's not on MTV or TMF, that it's not good. A lot of good bands are playing in pubs like De Hel and these people are continuously trying to bring you decent bands for the best price. Later you'll be sorry if you missed out on them... or are you waiting till they're that big that you have to pay 20 euros to go see them... oh yeah, if it's expensive it must be good.

Support your local scene,

Sniper

27/02/2006

Well, how should I begin this post... maybe by telling the whole world that I'm going to be a daddy. Indeed, 30 year old, irresponsible and immature Sniper is going to be the proud father of a little Ramone or Ramona sometime around August 22. That it's no twins I'm already sure of... it runs in the family but I escaped so far. Maybe next time ;-) It's the first one, so I don't know shit about raising kids. Hell no, I just got out of puberty myself! Do you see me with diapers, dummies, bibs and whatever baby stuff exists?

I found out at X-mas day that something was on its way, so I took the liberty in Vegas to give my lil baby a headstart on the other newborns of 2006. I already bought him/her a couple of Ramones shirts, All Stars size 2, a dummy with a baby Elvis on it, a yellow fleece jacket (I had one of those when I was a kid and I hated it... huh), a Ramones beanie and other Rockaway Baby stuff. Cool or not... that way I know for sure that in case it's an ugly baby, at least he/she will be dressed very nicely ;-)

Pity that the Marky Ramone tour got cancelled because that would have been a quite good chance to expose the future lil Ramoniac to some good ol' classic punk rock. Now it's waiting for the next good thing to pass by. Next week that will be Good Riddance and there is a lot of good music coming our way... but I think mummy will wait till Groezrock to come out and play because then one of her all time favorite bands, Bad Religion, will be playing... not to mention Dropkick Murphys, Sick of it all, Anti-flag, Me first and the Gimme gimmes, Peter Pan Speedrock, ... Our lil friend will be trained before he/she sets foot on this world. In July it's Sjock Rock and maybe Pukkelpop in August but I'm not sure if we are going to make that ;-)

That's all folks! Keep your eyes open coz The Saturdaynight Beavers, The Black Halos and Nine Pound Hammer are/will be touring. Not together but nothing should hold you back to go see all three of them. A lil birdie also told me that the Hellies will make an appearance in 't Oud Liefken at March 25. That will be a busy day with as place to be either De Hel, 't Oud Liefken or Lintfabriek. Oh yeah, almost forgot about it... the Groovie Ghoulies are working on a new album... so expect that kick-ass band to be in Europe after their recording sessions. Let's hear it for Kepi, Roach and Scampi!

Hasta la pasta,

Sniper 'Apparently I only need one shot' Ramone

Unfortunatley the tour of Marky Ramone and Antiproduct has been cancelled due to I dunno what reason. However, I can announce that Marky will probably do a tour with some Spanish dudes. Check the dates in the Calendar

03/02/2006

Just saw that my Beaver friends are playing with The Briefs and The Epoxies in Lintfabriek, Kontich (BE) at 25/03/06. Be there for some LIVE BEAVER ACTION!

25/01/2006

Back from Vegas. After 26 hours of travel... delayed flights, flying over Paris, taking the train to Brussels and then back home. The jetlag will start kicking in pretty soon, I guess. Damn, we visited a lot of the big ass casinos. Gambled the money I won earlier and had to sell some boxershorts to pay my dues. Coolest part was definitely the old strip. Old school gambling facilities, gift shops with a bunch of useless trash, regular people... in contrast to the pumped up 'biatches' strolling around the newer casinos and hotels where I stayed.

Never saw more fake stuff than I saw on this trip. Rebuilt Eiffel tower, Statue of Liberty, the Venetian San Marco Plaza, Brooklyn Bridge and of course boobs. My bet is that about 50% of the women in Vegas had plastic surgery. Not that I have anything against it but in times of environmental consciousness men never has produced more 'plastic' ;-)

Hell yeah, I'm already 5 days in Sin City. The city of gambling, nudy bars, decadence and of course C.S.I. Las Vegas. Must say that things top everything that I imagined before I left. They always say that New York is the city that never sleeps, but they're so wrong! In New York you have the fancy 'after-clubs' that are open until 5am or so and you will probably find some places that keep shabanging till the morning light but in Vegas it's action 24/7 and that's only because there's only so much hours in a day.

Have been sleeping an average of 4 - 5 hours a night and I'm still kicking ass. They pump freaking oxygen in the casinos and hotel rooms to keep you awake. Pretty cool, huh! Didn't do much gambling yet. Only played the jackpot and guess what, it didn't take away my money. I won about $140... Beginner's luck for sure! A good time to stop, otherwise I'll have to go sell my body on the streets and with those 5 bucks I won't be a top gambler anyway.

Yesterday I've been watching a guy play blackjack. He was dressed like a total bum but he was putting $500 on each hand he played. Fuck, at a certain moment that guy pulled out $55.000 that were just sitting in his pocket. Freakiest thing I've ever seen. His last bet was about $1200. He lost and moved on to a high limit table in a private room. Damn, some people have more money than is good for them. Give it to me for hell's sake .I promise I won't blow it all in once on hookers ...

Now I have to go to a session on Pricing updates and gathering revenue on IBM zSeries. Don't I have a quite interesting life ;-)

Keep on rolling the dice,

Went to see Lagwagon in Hof ter Lo (BE) on 06/01/2006. Not that I'm a big fan... hell no, I don't even own a single record of these guys. However, I do know them for over a decade. Some friends of mine are still into this band, although most of them have wandered off to street punk, Oi!, ... I got stuck into a pop-punk and rock 'n' roll/rockabilly phase. Who cares... as long as it rawks, it's ok.

Anyway, why Lagwagon, you might wonder!? Very simple, two friends of mine won 2 tickets each on a radio station contest (Studio Brussel). And you know how those things go... they've spent hours calling their best friends but everybody had already planned a lot of stuff. What were they thinking? On such a short notice! So... they ended up calling me... probably the only soul on this planet that has a free agenda until 2035 and that's only because I'm turning 60 that year. Otherwise 2050 wouldn't have been a problem.

Didn't see any support acts. We heard them though but were too busy drinking some beers and catching up with the latest stories on gigs that we had been to. The Lagwagon show was pretty ok. Very tight and a lot of fun. Actually the opposite of their show on Groezrock last year. That one sucked donkey dick! I have to say that after their show was over, it crossed my mind that I should go look for a 'Greatest hits' album of these guys and in case it doesn't exist yet, they should make one.

Oh yeah, only one week to go before I leave for Las Vegas. 9 fucking days in the city of kitsch. I love itttt!

New site design. In the future I'll try to come here more often to spit my words of wisdom on all of you. Lately I've been going to a lot of gigs. Not because I have more spare time... no, just because there were tons of great bands performing. Went to see Turbonegro, Nashville Pussy, Hard Ons, Long Tall Texans, Gecko Brothers, Fifi and the Mach III, Teenage Bottlerocket, Ramroosjes and of course the CD release party of my friends, The Saturday Night Beavers (SNB) at rock pub extraordinaire in Tongeren, De Hel.

Saw SNB play for the first time a couple of years ago.. young, snotty, fast... saw them again a couple of times since then... older but still younger than me, snottier but in a more mature way, fast... anyway, started out as a Screeching Weasel combo and ended up to be a real rock 'n' roll machine!

That's enough for now. Although I'm on holidays, I don't wanna waste time on stupid readers as yourself. Go out, have some fun, go see a cool band, shut down your pc and live!

PUT YOUR NAME ON DEE DEE'S LAST VINYL !!
========================================

YOU will be part of Dee Dee Ramone's last recording!

No joke, we fans just want to say farewell to Dee Dee - and a great way to do it is to put our names on his last recording! Never before in the Ramones history such a thing had happend. Easy idea behind it - and also easy to do it.
On the upcoming Dee Dee Ramone / Terrorgruppe split release we want to print as many names as we can get on the sleeve - so don't hesitate and put your name on it right now! First comes, first serve - no garantee.

Sign it here:

http://www.trash24.de/remember_dee_dee_ramone/

No need to say, it's absolutly free!

The upcoming Dee Dee Ramone / Terrorgruppe Split E.P. will be a 10" Vinyl (also available as Diggi-Pack CD Single) released by Wanker Records in co-production with Trash2001-Records in Germany. Originally it was planned to make a 7" Single with one song by each band. Now this release will have two Dee Dee songs "I Got a Right to Love her-if I want too" and "Horror Hospital". Plus Berlin punks Terrorgruppe do a cover of Boney M's old hit "Sunny" and one song they've just recorded as a special tribute to Dee Dee.
The 10" will come in a gatefold cover. The front is a painting Dee Dee did with Barbara and Paul Kostabi for this release and on the inside all your names will be printed!!!
More news about it on our pages. Please spread this message around and tell every Pinhead you know that they sign!

1-2-3-4 GOODBYE DEE DEE !

Speedkings were in NYC for the Ramones Forever Nite at Don Hill's. Hostess for the night was Jayne County and Nick did Beat On The Brat/Cream In My Jeans. Here are some pics of that night with some NYC and NJ Wreckin' Crew members in it. Also check out SpeedQueen Mandy who came over to see the show.

Soon the Speedkings will be fronted by no one less than Dee Snider of Twisted Sister. They will record "We're Not Gonna Take It" for an upcoming movie. The producer is Phil Carson, who is the man who did AC/DC and other great bands.

Dee Dee Lottery CANCELLED
-------------------------

Sorry friends for another bad news:
The lottery for the 10 by Dee Dee autographed "Do The Bikini Dance" 12inces is COMPLETE CANCELLED !!

The 10 Vinyls was taken from the limited to 99 copys on clear wax. It was promised to send us the autographed sleeves and you can also see a picture on my page where Dee Dee sign them (May 27th news). But for some strange reason the signed covers and also all documents for the upcoming Taking Dope splitzine now can't be found on Dee Dee's home in Hollywood, as Nick just informed me.

It's a big disappointment for all of us but complete beyond our control and we can't do nothing. It was sayed that they're already on the postway to Germany and I myself garanteed you they'll available soon.
Nick Wanker and I plan to lottery some other nice and unique stuff soon that we'll bring in from our personal collections. That's just to show you that we keep our word when we say to give away some stuff.

DON'T SEND NEW POSTCARDS please!
All the SEVERAL HUNDREDS of postcards from all over the world that are in up to now are still valid and will also take part in the new lottery. Please tell also all your friends that they don't send new postcards to us. When a new lottery starts we will inform you on our websites and by newsletter.
Sorry Amigos.
